Roof fan DVV-Ex are designed for the transport of explosive atmospheres (mixtures of air and inflammables such as gases and steam) from spaces under threat of explosion. The DVV-EX models have impellers with backward-curved blades and IEC.Ex(d)standard motor. The casing is manufactured from seawater-resistant aluminium and the base frame from galvanised steel, with a copper inlet cone. Suitable for danger zone 1 category 2G, zone 2 category 3G and temperature classes T1 to T4. They are designed for industrial use for gases of groups IIA and IIB. The explosion proof terminal box is built-on. To protect the motor from overheating these fans have integral thermistors (PTC) with external leads which must be connected to the U-EK230E motor protection relay.
